Strange images appear in haunted painting!
.
Description of Item:
This auction is for a digital image - My reasoning for listing this is, serious bidders would be interested in an object that could actually be haunted.
If you look at the auction image you may see three cowboys sitting around a fire, or you may be like some people, and see only one cowboy sitting on a log with a boy holding out a tray toward him. There are people who say they can only see the boy, after they have once seen him. The boy looks like a cook, or a car hop of the 50' or 60's.  The white outline in the auction image broadly defines the figure of the little Boy. His body is facing right, and his face is turned, looking toward you out of the picture.  Here is a little help in finding him if you do not see him right away: The fire is a tray, which the little boy is extending toward the cowboy on the right. The cowboy on the top forms part of the left side of the boys face, and the shadow on the left side of his hat. The man on the bottom left forms most of the little boys body and legs. Skeptics may say, coincidence; but how can they explain the ghost like face, with black top hat, at the top of the painting, or the faces emerging from the ground. Some claim to see other faces or entities the more you look at them, the more hauntingly, eerie they become. I admit I was skeptical at first, and even found it difficult to see the Boy initially. Even after seeing the boy, and recognizing the other figures, I thought this might be a common phenomenon. I started looking at a lot of different pictures to find similar images. To date I have not found a similar manifestation, in other pictures, paintings, photos or drawings. The exception to this would be optical illusion drawings, that were intentionally created to have multiple/different images. I can personally guarantee this oil painting was not newly created with these secondary images. The painting is at least 75 years old, possibly much older.  It hung on the wall in a prominent location, in the home of the artist, and then in the home of his daughter, for over fifty years. During that time, even thought it was viewed by hundreds of people, no one ever saw the little boy, or what I call the Car Hop Boy, or the other faces. When it came into my possession it was moved across country, to another state, and hung in my dining room. It peacefully resided in its present location for several years, with no extraordinary manifestations. Here is where it starts to get a little eerie. Now, I consider myself too be a fairly level headed person, but even I get a little spooked at times, by this painting.  At a family gathering, about eight of us were sitting around the dining room table, and several more family members were also standing in the room. Suddenly my niece asked to exchange places with someone on the opposite side of the table. By her demeanor you could see she was a little nervous.   Seriously, she replied, "I'm uncomfortable sitting here, I have the feeling someone is staring at my back."  Initially the rest of us thought it was funny, but since my niece is more sensitive and quiet then the rest of us,  we dropped the subject. For a while she sat quietly, apparently looking at the picture on the wall. Suddenly she asked "Why is there a face in that painting?" REVELATION. To my knowledge no one had ever seen a boy in the painting. She began describing what she saw and where, and soon over half of us saw the face in the painting. Eventually almost everyone saw him. Several weeks later my son was looking at the painting, and he said he could not only see the face, but the whole body of the little Boy in the painting It is bizarre, now most of the people who are familiar with the painting only perceive the little boy, and have difficulty seeing the three cowboys and the fire. Others also see the ghost like face, with the black top hat, at the top of the painting, while others only see the face emerging from the ground.
