They write, "Wow, I nearly fainted when I read your section on "shadow ghosts".  The ghost that I have been seeing for years fits the description perfectly!  As a child I was terrified of the dark and had to sleep with the hall light on.  When I started seeing a black figure crawling at the foot of my bed, it did not register.  I had thought it was my dog but when I would sit up it would dart across the floor and then be gone.  I was too afraid to accept it and thought my eyes were playing tricks on me but as time went by, it became more and more apparent that it was a tiny little man with a hat.  After that, I moved my bed so that it wasn't facing the hallway and would close my eyes as soon as I got into bed each night.  One night my cousin was staying at my house and sleeping in the bedroom across the hall from mine.  I was just falling asleep when she ran into my room and jumped into my bed.  When I asked her what the matter was, she told me,  "You are never going to believe this, but I swear to God, a little man in black just peeked over the foot of my bed at me!"  She described him even down to the little hat and the way that when you looked at him, he would take off crawling at lightning speed.  I see him much less often now, but every once in a while I catch him out of the corner of my eye.  He never seemed to mean any harm, he just seemed simply curious and frightened when we noticed him."
